About the Role

We are seeking a skilled policy officer to join our team as an Energy Network Policy Specialist. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work on complex policy issues and develop your expertise in energy policy.

In this position, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an overall understanding of the policy, rules, and regulations relating to the Capacity Market and Contracts for Difference schemes.

You will provide expert advice to the EMR Delivery Body and National Energy System Operator colleagues to promote clear and consistent understanding and application of the policy and rules and operation of the schemes.

As a key member of the team, you will build relationships with stakeholders, including DESNZ, Ofgem, participants, and wider industry stakeholders, to identify and resolve issues with the operation of the schemes.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a regulatory, policy, or codes role, with good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to confidently build networks and engage with internal and external parties.

A competitive salary between £52,000 - £56,000pa – dependent on experience and capability, plus a bonus based on company performance, 26 days annual leave as standard, and a contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
