Regional Intruder Alarm and Security Installation Engineer

Express Recruitment is excited to be working with a leading Fire Alarm & Security supplier in Nottingham. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Regional Intruder Alarm & Security Installation Engineer to join their expanding team.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be part of a call-out rota, every 1 in 3 weeks, although engineers are rarely called out. Individuals will still receive a call-out bonus for maintaining their availability.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary up to £38,000, call-out bonus, company vehicle, phone, laptop, and continuous training opportunities. 90% of this role covers Nottingham and the surrounding areas, with no overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites in Nottingham and surrounding areas.
  2. Service, maintain, and install a range of intruder alarm systems, fire alarms, and CCTV surveillance systems.
  3. Consult with customers on site to ensure they receive the ideal solution for their business.
  4. Perform in-depth diagnosis of electrical alarm systems when required.
  5. Complete all relevant paperwork.
  6. Adhere to health and safety regulations.
  7. Respond to emergency call-outs as per rota agreement (every 1 in 3 weeks).
Requirements:
  1. Formal electrical engineering qualifications desirable but time-served experience considered.
  2. 18th edition qualified.
  3. Demonstrable installation experience of intruder alarm systems highly advantageous.
  4. Installation and servicing experience with fire alarms and CCTV systems.
  5. Holder of a current DBS certificate or willing to have one done.
  6. First-class customer service skills.
  7. Full UK driving license essential.
