Nursery Room Leader Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Nursery People. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a nursery room, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and safety for children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery room, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and education for children
  • Develop and deliver a creative, engaging curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, tailored to the needs of each child
  • Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, ensuring that individual developmental needs are met
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child's progress

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
