Lead Cover Supervisor

Job Summary:

The South Wolds Academy and Sixth Form is seeking a dynamic and proactive Lead Cover Supervisor to work with classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher. The successful candidate will develop good working relationships with staff and students, and lead a team of cover supervisors to ensure that short-term teacher absence does not impact negatively on our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the curriculum and pastoral system from ages 11-18
  • Lead a team of cover supervisors to ensure seamless delivery of lessons during teacher absence
  • Develop good working relationships with staff and students across the academy
  • Ensure that short-term teacher absence does not impact negatively on student learning

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a school setting, preferably in a cover supervisor or similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
