Job Description

As a Residential Support Worker at SGS Care Ltd, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children aged 5-17 in a new home designed for Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver exceptional care and support to children and young people.
  2. Build strong, trusting relationships with children.
  3. Implement admission protocols and care plans to meet individual needs.
  4. Meet health, education, and training needs of children.
  5. Plan and participate in developmentally appropriate activities.
  6. Record keeping and reporting: ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  7. Serve as a key worker and role model, promoting positive behavior.
  8. Contribute to maintaining the physical security of the home.
  9. Collaborate with professionals to support children's needs and advocate for their rights.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Must hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

This role requires flexibility, as you will be working shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with sleep-ins required.

Salary:

The salary for this position is £28,704 - £29,300 per annum, depending on experience.
