Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our team and contribute to first opinion clinical service provision and teaching. This role offers a unique chance to work with 4th, 5th, and 6th year veterinary undergraduates at the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital.

The successful candidate will have sufficient experience in practice to undertake consultations, manage medical cases, and perform routine surgical procedures. They will be expected to take an active role in the further investigations of first opinion cases and participate in the teaching of small animal neutering, dental, and other routine surgeries.

This position involves working three days per week, with flexibility on specific days. The candidate may be required to participate in an evening and weekend duty rota.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years' experience in first opinion small animal practice
  • Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons or eligibility for membership
