Key Responsibilities:

  • We're seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to manage and coordinate bus operations during planned and unplanned rail replacement activities.
  • The successful candidate will arrange road transport in times of train service disruption, ensuring the safe and timely movement of passengers.
  • A key focus will be on developing effective working relationships with suppliers and colleagues to deliver a quality customer-focused response.
  • This role involves managing incident and accident investigations within agreed timelines and working effectively with external agencies.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to handle high-pressure situations in a calm and logical manner.

Requirements:

  • An individual with a proven track record of administering logistics or passenger transport, with a strong understanding of transportation management principles.
  • Able to develop and maintain accurate records, including incident reports and daily activity logs.
  • Familiarity with shift patterns, including 7 on/3 off and 4 on/1 off, with flexibility to adapt to changing operational requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

About Us:

As a leading rail replacement service provider, Transport UK London offers a competitive salary package, circa £31,000 per annum, inclusive of generous company sick pay and access to an employee assistance program.

Working Conditions:

This role is based in our Glasgow control room, with shift work on a rota basis covering early and night shifts. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances.
