Job Overview

NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety Engineer to join our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) team. This role is critical to ensuring the safety and compliance of operations in the Southern North Sea (SNS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Studies: Conduct and lead various safety studies, including:
  • Total Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • HAZID (Hazard Identification): Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessment to prevent accidents.
  • Bowtie Analysis and ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable): Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize risks.
  • Consequence Modelling: Use DNV GL PHAST or FLARESIM software to model potential consequences of accidents and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Mini Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA): Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Hazardous Area Classification: Classify areas based on potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Fire and Explosion Risk Assessments: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential fire and explosion hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Safety Case Management: Prepare and manage safety case material changes and conduct thorough reviews to ensure compliance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with COMAH regulations and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling to ensure compliance.
  • Project Management: Scope, commission, manage, and review technical safety studies from contractors to support operations and projects.
Requirements
  • Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with potential for extension.
  • Location: Norwich Office, UK.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday.
