Vehicle Technician Role in Fleet Management

We are currently working with the Institute of the Motor Industry Limited to secure a talented LCV/Van Vehicle Technician for their workshop in Tameside. As a key member of their team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the condition of their extensive fleet of vans and light commercial vehicles.

Your primary responsibilities will involve performing daily inspections, routine maintenance, and MOT preparation. You will also be responsible for scheduled servicing to DVSA standards, correction of running defects, and electrical and wiring inspections and corrections. In addition to your technical skills, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of vehicle standards within the fleet.

This exciting opportunity comes with a competitive salary of £34,000 per year, plus paid overtime and additional standby and call-out fees. The company operates a standard 47.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, with Saturday mornings available as overtime. To be successful in this role, you will need a full, clean driving licence and relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent.
