Job Summary:

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Engineer/Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, managing patching processes, and ensuring high availability of IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced 2nd and 3rd line IT support, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues.
  • Work with Linux and Windows platforms, with a willingness to deepen knowledge in both.
  • Manage patching processes using software like SCCM or Intune, and handle backup concepts and software.
  • Use commercial Incident, Problem, and Change management tools.
  • Understand and apply principles of business continuity and disaster recovery.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in 2nd or 3rd line IT support.
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows platforms.
  • Experience with patch management software (Ivanti, SCCM/Intune).
  • Knowledge of backup concepts and software.
  • Experience with Dell and HP server hardware.
  • Experience with commercial incident, problem, and change management tools (BMC Remedy, Halo preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • A European passport is required for this role due to travel to UK and European sites.
