We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Hornsey, North London.
This is a 6-month initially contract with potential for extension. The salary for this role is £20.92 PAYE per hour or £27.46 Umbrella per hour (+15% SHIFT Enhancement). Based on a 37-hour working week, this translates to approximately £38,000 - £42,000 per annum.
About the Job:
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking overhaul and repair of allocated wheelsets/bogies components, adhering to requisite processes and procedures. They will also assist other team members with bogie overhaul/wheelset overhaul to develop technical skills and identify, order, and collect spares and materials from stores.
Requirements:
- Experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering or process environment
- Experience of basic fault finding
- Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures
- Knowledge of Health & Safety including bio hazards, manual handling, and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
