Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accounting Manager to join our client, a prominent consumer healthcare company in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 6 accounting professionals and ensure effective liaison between the accounting team and other departments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for local management and US Corporate headquarters in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, annual audit process, and statutory filings.
  • Organize the schedule for drafting accounting documents and verify their legality.
  • Monitor the evolution of accounting and tax standards/legislation and report to management on the company's financial situation.
  • Analyze and interpret financial results, explaining variances to forecast and budget.
  • Prepare information for tax and fiscal reporting to UK Tax Authorities.
  • Manage the AP and AR invoicing process, teams, and customer collections process.
  • Treasury management and cash forecasting, as well as intercompany accounting and billing.
  • Manage internal and external statutory audits and review group performance for transfer pricing review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Minimum 8+ years of functional experience in accounting/financial controlling in an international environment.
  • Hands-on experience in people management and comprehensive understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • SAP experience and top 10 Corporate Audit experience preferred.
