Uniserve is seeking a dedicated Seafreight Operator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods by sea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing customs clearance processes
- Coordinating documentation and logistics
- Resolving customer inquiries and complaints
- Ensuring timely delivery of cargo
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Seafreight operations
- Strong knowledge of freight terms and documentation
- Ability to calculate costs and charges
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Daily Routines:
- Chasing customs clearance documents every two days
- Confirming all telephone conversations via email
- Collecting House Bill of Lading or Telex Release
- Checking customer credit terms
- Responding to email queries within the same day
- Generating file closing cost/sales invoices
- Archiving closed shipment files
- Adhering to company procedures
