Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bank Nursery Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and education to young children.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work in partnership with our experienced team to ensure that every child receives a safe, happy, and engaging experience. You will be responsible for supporting the daily activities of the nursery, including meal times, sleep times, and play sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the observation and assessment of children's developmental needs, ensuring that their individual requirements are met.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that each child receives a high level of care and attention.
- Contribute to the preparation of meal times, ensuring that mealtimes are enjoyable and engaging for the children.
- Risk-assess areas of the nursery to ensure that they are safe for children to access.
Requirements
- A sound understanding of child development and early years curriculum.
- Experience working within an early years setting, preferably in a key worker or assistant role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- An understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, with a commitment to keeping children safe at all times.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of £12,000 - £15,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:
