Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Consulting Engineer will play a crucial role in our M&E Consultancy team, serving as a key point of contact for clients and leading the design of Electrical Systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, as the successful candidate will lead junior members of the Electrical Engineering Team and coordinate with project design teams to meet client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of Electrical Systems, including drafting drawings, undertaking calculations using IES, and producing specifications.
  • Undertake and lead electrical services design projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Liaise with in-house teams, including Mechanical, CAD, and Secretarial staff, to facilitate the production process and meet business needs.
  • Represent the Electrical and Mechanical Design at Design Team Meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Operate ACad and BIM Systems, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools.
  • Undertake training in relation to REVIT MEP, enhancing technical skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct defects inspections and issue appropriate certifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Write and produce operation and maintenance manuals, providing valuable resources for clients and internal teams.
  • Produce SBem and Sap Calculations, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

Requirements:

  • Fully competent and experienced within the Building Services Design Industry.
  • Minimum HNC Building Services Engineering.
  • Positive, proactive, self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word.
  • Travel required periodically, with a full driving license and access to a car.
