Attendance and Admissions Coordinator

The Attendance and Admissions Officer will be responsible for monitoring attendance, managing admissions, and providing administrative support to various school departments.
Key Tasks- Liaise with parents/carers and students regarding attendance issues and follow up on student absences.
- Manage and monitor attendance systems, including Truancy Call, and maintain accurate attendance records.
- Produce and interpret statistical data relating to attendance patterns and report to relevant parties.
- Handle admission enquiries, manage the admissions process, and maintain the school's waiting list in accordance with the Admission Policy.
- Organise and support school events such as Year 6 – 7 admissions, including the Fair Banding testing process.
- Respond to appeals and requests for feedback regarding admissions and coordinate with the Clerk to Governors and Appeal Panel members.
- Provide administrative support to various school departments and assist in the development of school reward systems.
- Maintain a high quality of data in school systems and ensure the filing of student records is up to date.
- Proven experience in a similar administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using school Management of Information Systems and standard office software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and in compliance with Data Protection/GDPR.
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to the school's ethos, equalities, and inclusion policies.
- First Aid at Work certification is desirable.
