Europes largest Rolling Stock Producer, maintainer and servicing organisation is looking for Mechanical and Electrical Experienced Engineers to join a well established team at a busy rail depot in East London

The role involves carrying out Mechanical overhaul including stripping and refitting. You will be specifically focused on modifications on modern EMU stock within a maintenance depot. This is a safety Critical position working on a busy live rail maintenance depot and in this role you would be expected to complete the following:

  • Work from written instruction (VMI)
  • Work from Engineering drawings, working to specific measurements
  • Removal of interiors and body sides
  • Refitting, Seats, Grab Rails, Poles etc.
  • Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings

Candidates from the following background will be considered:

  • Rolling Stock
  • HGV and PCV Technicians
  • Plant Maintenance
  • Audio Visual Engineers
  • Engineering Services Maintenance
  • Rail
  • RAF, REME, Army, Navy

Ideal applicants would have had some maintenance, servicing or fitting experience on vehicle types ranging from Cars to Aeroplanes. Also due to the nature of the programme candidates must be able to work days & nights which will include working at the weekend.
