Purchase Ledger Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Administrator to join our team at Alliance Automotive Group. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post a high volume of invoices to the ledger, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Validate purchase invoices, reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues with suppliers
- Reconcile supplier statements in electronic and Excel formats
- Troubleshoot and resolve mis-postings, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
- Prepare and manage three monthly BACS payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, leveraging expertise in Kerridge K8 and MAM
- Manage employee credit cards, including receipt reconciliations, posting costs to the nominal ledger, and general administration of the card scheme
Requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced purchase ledger environment, with a strong understanding of financial transactions and processes
- Proficiency in using Excel to an intermediate level, with experience in data analysis and reconciliation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
