About the Role

Tops Day Nurseries is seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as an Early Years Apprentice - Level 5. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and promote children's early education and development
  • Be responsible for supporting the quality of learning and development in the setting
  • Engage with sector developments both locally and nationally
  • Skilfully lead day-to-day practice at an operational level
  • Safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children
  • Work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents, and/or carers or other professionals

Requirements

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade C (4) or above or able to achieve Level 2 English and Maths whilst on programme
  • Residency in the UK for the last three years
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator or Equivalent Qualifications/Experience

About You

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, creative skills, and a positive outlook. You will be responsible for engaging with the children and conversing with other staff members and parents.

Learning and Development

As an Early Years Apprentice - Level 5, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through on-going professional enquiry and action research. You will learn about leadership and management, child development and theory, pedagogy, health and wellbeing, health and safety, equality, diversity, inclusion, and SEN, and safeguarding.
