Job Title: Teacher of Spanish
Job Description:
GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher of Spanish to work in a client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching Spanish and be able to deliver engaging and effective lessons to secondary students.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver Spanish lessons to secondary students, focusing on developing their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Adaptability: Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language teaching.
- Examination Preparation: Prepare students for external examinations, including GCSE and A-level, through effective teaching and tailored revision sessions.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience teaching Spanish in a secondary school setting.
- Language Skills: Be able to deliver Spanish to secondary level; having Spanish as a second language is desirable but not essential.
- Additional Needs: Experience working with children who have additional needs.
- Relationships: Build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies.
- DBS: Have a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
