SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Meaningful Impact

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and work with students aged 11-19 who have diverse needs such as autism, learning difficulties, and communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Learning: Collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
  • Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one or small group assistance, tailored to the sensory and communication needs of each student.
  • Build Trusting Relationships: Develop supportive and positive relationships with students, helping them feel safe and valued.
  • Encourage Positive Behaviour: Implement creative strategies to promote positive behaviour, adapting to each student's unique needs.
  • Assist with Personal Care: Provide personal care when needed, while upholding the dignity and respect of the students.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
  • A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - required.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • A flexible, creative approach to meeting students' individual learning needs.
