Supporting Young People in Care

Wakefield Council is committed to providing high-quality accommodation and support to young people within its care. As a Night Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-going oversight of several properties and various types of accommodation
  • Be the first line of contact for young people, offering support and guidance as needed
  • Support children and young people who are homeless or at high risk of homelessness
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve positive outcomes for young people
Requirements
  • Commitment to improving the life chances of children and young people
  • Knowledge and understanding of working within an Ofsted-regulated service
  • Competent communication skills and ability to apply the values of Wakefield Council
  • Vehicle owner/driver with a good standard of word processing skills
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours, including weekends
