Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Religious Education Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students, assess their progress, and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver Religious Education lessons to students, using a range of teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through various assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' academic and personal growth, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education and experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education and experience in leading extracurricular religious activities.
Working Conditions:

This role is based in a secondary school setting in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, with full-time hours during school term times and additional responsibilities such as parent meetings and extracurricular activities.
