About the Role">

We are seeking a highly motivated Relief Chef to join our kitchen team at Yorkare Homes. As an Ad Hoc Kitchen Assistant, you will be working under the direction of our Head Chef and Chef team.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in kitchen tasks connected with the preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of meals and beverages while maintaining the highest quality of service required by residents and management.

To ensure that a good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen and dining area as set by Health and Hygiene Authorities and Management.

Additionally, you may be required to carry out the tea round, taking the trolley around the floors, rooms, and asking residents for their preferences.

Requirements
  • FH & S qualified
  • Good understanding of HACCP
  • Experience in a Care Home environment desirable
  • Current knowledge in catering for modified diets and allergy awareness
  • Comfortable working with fresh seasonal produce and good nutrition knowledge
