Job Title: Defence Litigation Solicitor

We are seeking an ambitious solicitor to join our busy litigation department in Belfast City Centre. Our client is a successful, small law firm that acts for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in high value contractual disputes, including professional negligence claims and building disputes.

The successful candidate will have the right to consent or object to this role, which involves assisting the Litigation Partner within their busy department. The litigation department deals with all types of general litigation for both Plaintiff and Defendant, including personal injury claims such as medical negligence, road traffic accidents, and accidents in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Litigation Partner in managing a caseload of high value contractual disputes
  • Conduct research and analysis to support the Litigation Partner in preparing for court hearings
  • Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to provide updates on case progress
  • Contribute to the development of the litigation department's strategy and goals

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years PQE in litigation or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of contractual law and dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
