We offer a hybrid working arrangement where employees work from the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and one designated day, while having the flexibility to work from home on the remaining two days.

Job Role

The successful candidate will join the Data Governance team as a Business Analyst to support cross-domain data activities within a greenfield Data Governance framework rollout.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with business teams and technology to define requirements via interviews, document analysis, workshops, process analysis, and workflow analysis.
  2. Collaborate with business data domains to address current data challenges, both tactically in the short term and strategically on the long-term roadmap.
  3. Conduct data assessments and prioritization of data initiatives with business data domains.
  4. Catalogue datasets and identify critical data assets.
  5. Engage in data remediation activities, including data profiling, cleansing, and other tasks.
  6. Utilize SQL, Excel, and other relevant tools to gather, analyze, manipulate, and document data, identifying improvements and translating them into technical specifications.
  7. Participate in the Business Analysis team for knowledge sharing and guidance.
  8. Proactively identify and implement improvements across organizational processes.
  9. Manage PMO activities, including status updates, risk and issue tracking.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
  • Experience in financial services, with knowledge of Asset Management and its regulatory environment being desirable.
  • A strong understanding of asset management functions, financial data, and asset classes (Fixed Income and Equities).
  • Strong knowledge of data management concepts, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data management, analysis, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Aladdin, Snowflake, EDM, and Microsoft Power Tools is an advantage.
