Senior Anaesthetist

The Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for a senior anaesthetist to join our team in North Devon. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced consultants and specialist registrars to provide high-quality patient care.

We are looking for a skilled anaesthetist who can lead by example, mentoring junior staff and contributing to the development of our department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.

The base hospital, on-call requirement, and residency requirement for this post are for the Northern Services, based at North Devon District Hospital (Barnstaple). With no cross-cover arrangements currently in place for anaesthetic services between hospitals, we anticipate that work would be equitably distributed within the anaesthetic department if needed in the future.

As a Senior Anaesthetist, you can expect a salary of around £85,000-£100,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including access to our occupational health services, flexible working schemes, and family-friendly policies.
