Vehicle Maintenance Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Nottingham VMU. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet of vehicles and trailers are safe, legal, and fit for duty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and trailers in accordance with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Complete signed service and inspection records, defect reports, and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first-time pass.
  • Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects.
Requirements:
  • Hold a valid LGV C&E license (class one) and relevant vocational training.
  • Have knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting equipment.
  • Be able to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
  • Have experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Hold a valid driving license.
