Job Title: ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technician

We are seeking a skilled ICA (Instrumentation, Control & Automation) Technician to join our team at Mill Green Sewage Treatment Works Site in Hertfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to relevant standards, and diagnose and repair faults in systems and plants.
  • Proactively identify and report follow-up work or areas for enhancement and deliver cost-effective improvements to assets and systems.
  • Investigate plant failures and implement subsequent repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team alongside operational teams such as systems, mechanical, and electrical technicians.
Requirements:
  • Experience with PLCs and SCADA systems and communication network systems, instrumentation including flow, level, pressure, etc.
  • Qualification to HNC level or City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an instrumentation, control and automation discipline.
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification and 3-phase electrical knowledge or qualifications.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces with successful completion of the appropriate training.
