About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HPC Consultant to join our team at Excelerate. As a Senior HPC Consultant, you will be responsible for leading the charge in deploying and supporting cutting-edge HPC-like systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Advanced Supercomputers: Provide the most advanced supercomputers to the UK's HPC customer base.
  • Integration and Deployment Services: Provide integration and deployment services for large-scale HPC solutions, including analysing system components and addressing integration challenges.
  • System Testing and Assessment: Conduct testing and assessment of system components, prototype features, and define architectural requirements for high-performance HPC clusters.
  • Level 2 Software Support: Deliver Level 2 software support for HPC environments.

Requirements:

  • Linux Proficiency: Proficiency in Linux OS (RedHat / Debian based) is required.
  • Server Hardware Understanding: A strong understanding of server hardware is essential.
  • Scripting Skills: Mandatory skills in scripting with Bash and/or Python.
  • Networking and Security Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of networking and security concepts is a requirement
  • Security Clearance: Previous security clearance is highly desirable
  • British Passport and Residency: Must hold a British passport and have lived in the UK the last 10 years (For DV clearance)
