The Emerald Group is seeking a talented Actuarial Analyst to join our Commercial Lines Pricing team in London. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on high-profile insurance programmes and develop your skills in pricing tools, portfolio management, and technical skills.

About the Position

You will lead the development of new pricing tools, work closely with underwriters, and contribute to a positive team environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Pricing tools – Design, build, and maintain pricing tools, ensuring seamless collaboration with actuarial and underwriting teams.
  • Portfolio management – Drive underwriting strategies to enhance portfolio performance, leveraging advanced analytics and data analysis techniques.
  • Technical skills – Stay at the forefront of industry developments, applying expertise in areas like SQL, R/Python, and Power BI.
Key Qualifications

To excel in this position, you must possess:

  • A qualified actuary certification or be nearly qualified.
  • Relevant experience in actuarial roles, ideally in commercial lines or the London market.
  • Strong knowledge of actuarial professional guidance and industry best practices.
Salary and Benefits

Our salary range for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, based on experience, accompanied by benefits that foster growth and development within our organization.
