Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Energy Sustainability Expert to join our team at Optimised Group Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading provider of energy and sustainability services, helping businesses achieve their net-zero goals.

About the Role

This role involves providing expert utility recharge services, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent client experience through accurate and effective service delivery
  • Completing invoice checking and tariff-based validation for electricity, gas, water, heating, and cooling invoices
  • Generating batches of invoices, analysing costs and consumption against previous periods, and reviewing anomalies
  • Maintaining query and savings logs, raising queries, and resolving errors with suppliers when invoices are incorrect
  • Producing weekly batch files for clients to process payments
  • Processing change of tenancies and creating and delivering monthly/scheduled recharge invoices for tenants
  • Managing multiple sources of meter data for use within recharging
  • Calculating targets and budgets, reviewing on-accounts as required
  • Producing portfolio-wide reports and issuing them to clients accordingly
  • Reviewing metering schematics to mobilise RICS standard recharging methodology for clients
  • Conveying real passion and belief in the business and supporting the drive to a net-zero world
  • Adhering to company policy, guidelines, and standard operating procedures

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience working in a recharging team
  • Previous experience in the energy industry
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the UK energy industry, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. Knowledge of metering is desirable, and you should have excellent communication skills to communicate complex utility issues with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is essential. Customer service experience, including investigation skills and the ability to follow queries through from start to finish, is also required.
