About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering support to our practice by providing expertise in mechanical building services engineering in the built environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in managing successful M&E teams and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

You will be responsible for working with our Engineering Associate/Director on a regular basis, reporting weekly on progress, and ensuring all projects are completed to a high technical standard. You will also be required to assist more junior staff with technical queries, carry out fee-earning work, and undertake feasibility studies as required.

In addition, you will be responsible for meeting with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs, drawing up detailed specifications and drawings, and reviewing tenders received and preparing tender reports and recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or Master's degree in Engineering, be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The IET, and have Chartered Engineer status or be approaching. You will also have experience in managing successful M&E teams and be familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practices.
