Procurement Strategist for Capital Expenditures

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a fast-paced manufacturing business to find a skilled Procurement Specialist for their Procurement Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department in achieving its Strategic Objectives by engaging with stakeholders and collaborating throughout the Procurement Lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver multiple sourcing strategies, including sourcing activities that generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets.
  • Ensure procurement activities align with the business's Purpose and objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and create markets where necessary.
  • Identify internal and external cost drivers and prepare tender documentation.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to secure service, quality, cost, security of supply, and innovation capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional Sourcing Teams to undertake compliant procurements in accordance with the approved Sourcing Strategy.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

  • CIPS qualified or Degree level of Education
  • Experience in non-repeatable procurement, including various procurement routes and exemptions
  • Extensive experience in drafting and implementing multiple forms of contract
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills at all levels
  • Ability to hold people to account and lead cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional priority and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement sourcing strategies
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organisational skills
