Electronics Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Repair Specialist to join our team at a well-established electronics company based in Stoke On Trent. As an Electronics Repair Specialist, you will be working in a small team of 5, reporting to the General Manager, with responsibility for evaluating items for repair, diagnosing faults, and repairing electrical devices. You will also have the opportunity to assist with PDU Builds, Battery Testing, and Site Installations, as well as ordering new supplies and creating documentation to support products.
An ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an Electronics Repair Technician, Solderer, or PCB Assembler, with electrical fault-finding diagnosis and test skills. Soldering skills and experience with crimping are also highly advantageous. You should have good IT skills to record information and excellent communication skills to liaise with customers regarding their products. We also welcome applicants with a keen eye for training and development.
This is a permanent position with a salary of approximately £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating items for repair and diagnosing faults
- Repairing and testing electrical devices, including Rectifiers, Power Supplies, Inverters, and Drives
- Assisting with PDU Builds, Battery Testing, and Site Installations
- Ordering new supplies as per repair requests
- Creating documentation to support products
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an Electronics Repair Technician, Solderer, or PCB Assembler
- Electrical fault-finding diagnosis and test skills
- Soldering skills
- Experience with crimping (advantageous)
- Good IT skills to record information
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers
