Job Description

The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Anaesthetist during surgeries, leveraging their expertise to maintain optimal patient care. In addition to supporting the Anaesthetist, this position requires the ability to manage equipment and stocks effectively, ensuring seamless theatre operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Partner closely with the Anaesthetist to guarantee exceptional patient outcomes, maintaining effective communication and collaboration throughout surgical procedures.
  2. Implement efficient inventory management systems to prevent stock depletion and equipment failure, thereby minimising disruptions to theatre operations.
  3. Prioritise ongoing professional development, focusing on advanced training in crisis management and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and overall team performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar anaesthetic role, with a deep understanding of theatre operations and patient care standards.
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments, remaining composed under pressure and adeptly managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive working relationships with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • Strategic thinking and organisation, allocating priorities efficiently to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, enabling seamless data management and accurate record-keeping.
  • A diligent approach to quality control, ensuring meticulous attention to safety protocols and adhering to industry standards.
  • A flexible attitude, embracing change and demonstrating adaptability in response to evolving circumstances.
