Crisis and Incident Management Lead

The Crisis and Incident Management Lead plays a key role in coordinating the efficient operation and ongoing enhancement of our framework. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing Post Incident Reports to capture lessons identified and ensure they become lessons learned.
  • Developing and delivering challenging exercises and training to abrdn Incident and Crisis Management Teams globally.
  • Maintenance and continual improvement of Incident and Crisis Management Plans and Playbooks used to assist the incident response process.
  • Development of reports and presentations and attendance at regular forums and steering groups to report on incident management and lessons learned.
  • Maintenance of abrdn mass communications and Incident Management systems, task planners, document repositories, and facilities.


We are seeking an individual with strong presentation skills, a proven ability to craft and deliver effective training, exercises, and briefings to all levels of an organisation. Excellent writing skills, with previous experience of report writing and developing effective briefing packs for senior collaborators, are also essential. Knowledge of threat and risk assessment methodologies is a plus.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include 40 days' annual leave, a 16% employer pension contribution, private healthcare, flexible benefits such as gym discounts, season ticket loans, and access to an employee discount portal.
