Job Description:

This SEN teaching assistant role is an excellent opportunity to work with children with special educational needs and make a real difference in their lives.


We are seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality educational activities and promoting independence and personal development in pupils.


The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in providing high-quality educational activities and experiences for pupils with special educational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to pupils with special educational needs to promote independence and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality educational activities and experiences for pupils with special educational needs.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour at all times and contribute to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality educational activities and experiences that meet the diverse needs of pupils.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in education or childcare.
  • Proven experience of working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.

Benefits:

  • Estimated salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
