About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Hyatt Regency Birmingham.
As a member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest levels of food quality, taste, and presentation, while mentoring and motivating the team to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, using fresh and seasonal ingredients.
- Work effectively as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
- Contribute to the development of menus and dishes, providing input on food quality and presentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and techniques.
- Assist in the management of inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5* hotel environment.
- Culinary qualifications, such as NVQ level 3 in Food Production or equivalent.
- Strong coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Experience with food safety and hygiene standards in the UK.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early/late/weekends and holidays.
