Job Title: Lead External Attack Surface Management Specialist

Location: Flexible working arrangements available.

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience and skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Global Attack Surface Management service to ensure BAE Systems perimeter assets are known and tested, and Shadow-IT assets are discovered and brought into governance.
  • Ensure external attack surface assessments highlight perimeter risks and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and protect BAE Systems through continuous testing of security controls and monitoring of the global external attack surface.
  • Lead policy implementation, high standards, and best practices within Attack Surface Management and Active Defence.

Requirements:

  • Broad and detailed experience of technologies including VPN appliances, Firewalls, Attack Surface Management, IDS/IPS, Endpoint Protection, Microsoft Operating Systems, Linux, TCP/IP, Networking, Cloud, CDN's, Web Server's, Open-Source tooling, and Vulnerability Management.
  • A good technical background with a detailed knowledge of cyber security, computer networks, and operating systems.
  • Analytical background and ability to analyse and interpret large and complex data sets, articulating the story behind any observations and providing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Experience in interpretation of threat intelligence and ability to work on complex issues with little need for supervision or support.
