Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical systems, including bespoke Lockheed Martin assets. This role requires a strong mechanical bias, with a focus on ensuring the efficient operation of our equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">
  • ">
  • A relevant apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (Mechanical) and/or evidence of sufficient training to a similar standard.">
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and communication.">
  • Basic knowledge of related trades such as electrical, plumbing etc. to a sufficient level to support team colleagues when required.">
  • A Mechanical Fitting background would be advantageous, with experience of using lathes, milling, sheet metal work, woodwork, electrical and electronic fault diagnostics and general maintenance, etc.">
  • Mechanical Engineering background ideal.">
  • Knowledge of machine language such as Fanuc an advantage.">
  • Knowledge and experience of using lifting equipment and mechanical aids such as pallet trucks, Forklifts, cranes etc. (LM training provided).">
  • Experience of working to safety risk assessments and method statements.">
  • Ability to gain SC security clearance.">

Estimated Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum
