Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Specialist Teacher to join our team in a primary school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children with additional needs, working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

This is a permanent position available from January 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start. Our school is part of a larger trust that provides excellent professional development opportunities and a supportive environment for teachers to flourish.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEMH needs using trauma-informed and relational approaches. They will be able to teach innovatively, reflectively, and collaboratively within cross-trust teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to children with SEMH needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Contribute to the development of a knowledge-rich, purposeful, and project-based curriculum

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH needs using trauma-informed and relational approaches
  • Ability to teach innovatively, reflectively, and collaboratively within cross-trust teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
