About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our dynamic team at Prospero Teaching. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, and assessing student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the needs of diverse students.
  2. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for reading and writing.
  3. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department and share best practices in teaching and learning.
  5. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.

About You:

  1. You have a strong knowledge of English literature, language, and composition, with a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  2. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  3. You are committed to the academic and personal growth of students, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. You have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. An undergraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  3. Experience of working within a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  4. Evidence of, and commitment to, continuing professional development, with a focus on staying updated on the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
