We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious 4-star hotel in the Yorkshire countryside. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing a talented team of chefs and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the hotel's culinary offerings.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Collaborate with the hotel's events team to deliver exceptional banqueting experiences for our guests.
- Contribute to the development of the hotel's culinary strategy and vision.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
- Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Excellent culinary skills, including knowledge of seasonal produce and menu planning.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of chefs.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
