About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Finance with the completion of monthly and annual accounts.

You will take the lead on the production of draft financial statements for a wide range of subsidiaries and the principal group company. Additionally, you will have responsibility for the preparation of the VAT and other tax returns as well as taking the lead with the external audit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Finance with the completion of monthly and annual accounts
  • Take the lead on the production of draft financial statements for subsidiaries and the principal group company
  • Prepare VAT and other tax returns
  • Take the lead with the external audit
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills
  • Ability to complete tasks to deadlines and manage multiple competing work streams
  • Experience of producing statutory accounts or reviewing statutory accounts via audit
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and external professionals
