Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Tops Wareham, Dorset

Job Type: Part-time

Hours: 15 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Tops Wareham Nursery. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality meals for our children, while maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursery Cook in preparing and serving meals to children.
  • Work with the Nursery Cook to ensure food is purchased in good time and within budget.
  • Provide a safe environment within the kitchen, adhering to food hygiene laws and regulations.
  • Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, including regular cleaning of cupboards, fridge, and oven.
  • Ensure meals are served appropriately and ready on time.
  • Participate in the food hygiene team to ensure all aspects of food hygiene law are adhered to.
  • Commit to the safeguarding of all children in the nursery.
