We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to develop and deliver engaging drama lessons to primary and early years students, promoting creativity, confidence, and communication skills.

Job Duties:
  • Provide drama support to primary and early years students in a school setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver drama lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Help create and organise drama activities, including rehearsals and performances, to enhance student engagement.
  • Guide students in exploring different dramatic techniques and concepts, fostering their creativity and critical thinking skills.
  • Support students in developing their communication skills through drama, promoting effective expression and self-confidence.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring that lessons are well-planned and effective.
  • Contribute to assessing and evaluating students' progress, providing valuable feedback to enhance their learning experience.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.
  • Experience working with primary or early years students, preferably in a teaching or support role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of drama techniques and concepts, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Patience and the ability to engage and motivate students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Working Conditions:

The Drama Graduate Teaching Assistant will primarily work within a school setting, assisting in drama sessions and supporting students. The role may involve working with students individually or in groups, with part-time working hours and a competitive daily rate of £150-£200.
