We are a leading provider of specialist palliative care within the Milton Keynes area, offering 24 hour / seven days a week palliative care to people who have advanced disease.

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor to join our team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. As a Palliative Care Therapist, you will provide a counselling service for patients and families within the Psychology & Counselling team.

The successful candidate will have a Counselling qualification (at least to degree level, ideally postgraduate level 7) and experience of working in palliative care and bereavement counselling. A competitive salary of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, is on offer.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide a counselling service for patients and families
  • To assess referrals and deliver skilful and compassionate counselling in groups, individually, and supervise volunteers
  • To work across and within a multi-disciplinary team

The role may include working within the local community, with the ability to work alone and hold a current driving license.
