**Job Summary**

We are seeking a talented scientist to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Simulation of Energy Materials at the University of Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a research programme in the area of theory and simulation of materials relevant to the energy transition.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Develop and lead a successful research programme in simulation and modelling of materials for energy generation, storage, and conversion, and in catalysis.

• Collaborate closely with experimentalists to advance the field of energy materials research.

• Teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including co-directing the Advanced Materials for the Energy Transition (AMET) MPhil programme.

• Contribute to the running of the AMET MPhil programme, including course management, admission of students, creation and delivery of lectures, examining, and running projects.

• Support teaching and administration at other levels in the Department of Chemistry.

**Requirements**

• PhD in a relevant subject area.

• Evidence of leading a successful research programme.

• Aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Ability to contribute to academic activities in the Department and the School of Physical Sciences.
