Job Title: Apprentice Hydraulic Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Hydraulic Engineer to join our team at RSD Technology. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the safety and reliability of our hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and coordinate hydraulic maintenance activities to minimize production delays and ensure the safety of our equipment and personnel.
  2. Manage the activities of Tata engineering craft and contractors, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  3. Assist in reducing hydraulic oil consumption by minimizing oil loss and implementing energy-efficient solutions.
  4. Act as the senior responsible person for fluid power permits, ensuring that all authorized personnel are properly trained and competent.
  5. Manage contract labor to carry out maintenance activities during normal operation, down shifts, or major stops.
  6. Develop and implement upgrades and improvements to enhance the reliability and combat equipment obsolescence issues.
  7. Procure labor, tools, mobile plant, and equipment as identified by planned maintenance tasks or events.
  8. Review and author safe working procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  9. Carry out monthly departmental fluid power audits and report centrally.
  10. Manage contract labor through PBS/CAT1 systems and carry out safety audits as per schedule.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of hydraulic and pressure systems maintenance and associated legislative compliance. A minimum of HNC level 4 or equivalent in mechanical engineering or a related field is required. Additionally, the candidate should have extensive working experience in the same field and be willing to develop their professional qualifications through an established internal development center.
